Short presentation:

The 124 Sport Coupè BC1 was presented at the Turin Motor Show in November 1969. Compared to the first 1400 series, it was aesthetically and mechanically retouched.

One of the most important stylistic changes was the redesign of the front by the “Centro Stile Fiat”, now with a higher and more regular grille extended to the entire width of the car. The engine hood was thus redesigned. The model was equipped with four headlights of the same size. The front front was very similar to that of the Fiat Dino. The rear was truncated, therefore similar to many Italian cars of the time. The rear lights were larger than the previous version. The twin-shaft engine is derived from the Fiat 125 with a displacement of 1608 cm³, powered by two vertically positioned Weber 40 IDF double-barrel carburettors. This latest engine, among other things, will equip, starting from 1971, the Abarth SE 025 single-seater of the Formula Italia single-make championship.
